Default Where to mount reverse camera

Dear all,
This is my first topic and I need your help. I want to fix reverse camera for my F150 2006 model. I found somebody mount the camera in tailgate handle and others in the plate frame.
What is the best area to mount the camera?
Thanks and regards,

Depends on the camera. I got one that will replace the emblem on the tailgate. Most of the cameras I have seen are license plate ones.

I have the license plate mounted camera and I like it. It was very easy to mount. The image is pretty good also. I would have liked a different style but was concerned that the other styles would require a lot more work to mount and run the wires.

Thanks all,
I put it in the tailgate handle and it looks cool. The view is acceptable and I may replace the camera with one especially for the same position.

Should install it in the front of your truck behind the grill... :-)

I would be afraid of the camera getting jacked being mounted to the plate unless I used a bolt that required a special tool to remove. A tool that a normal thief would not have on them.
