When will the 2017 F-150s ship out of Dearborn?
Hi,
I understand the 2017s built in Dearborn are being held up due to a retrofit of the new 10 speed tranny. I understand there are perhaps 15,000 units involved. That said, when will they begin shipping them out to dealers?
This is my first post here, and I will hit the "introductions" threads shortly.

There is a valid reason for my question........ I ordered a '17 XLT SC w/2.7 eco in mid August. It was built on 11/15 and very likely buried among all the 3.5s awaiting to be fixed. I've ordered a lot of vehicles over the years, and this is easily the longest wait.

Friday at 1:15PM EST. Except for yours. That one will ship on Friday, January 13th...
How would anyone know the answer to that? Ford will release the held trucks when they are ready to be released. When will they be ready? When they are ready...

Gee guys, I incorrectly assumed that someone on this huge forum - perhaps a Dearborn employee - would have an insight as to when the 3.5s would hit the dealers.
I sure didn't realize the issue was a sore spot, and my apology to those hornets that I stirred up.................

They've started shipping some. Freedom Ford in Wise VA. has a couple on their lot. It seems like the more recently built trucks have started shipping first.
