The RS is going to be beastly.

Back in 1995 I bought a Jeep Wrangler brand new. I paid it off and since I was young and single and enjoying the Hell out of it, I never saw a reason to replace it. However a Jeep isn't the picture of comfort. So rather than get rid of a great vehicle, I went out and bought another car. I'm not talking about another car payment, I bought a used car and paid cash.

I was lucky enough to score a really clean 86 Mustang GT with T-tops. It was bone stock and had only 78,000 miles. It was fully loaded with power everything. It had the 5.0, 5 speed, and ice cold A/C. I alternated driving the Jeep and the Mustang keeping the miles low on both vehicles. Not long after scoring the Mustang I realized that the 5.0 Mustang is a blast to drive. So I did some minor performance upgrades like headers, off road H pipe, 2-1/2" Flowmaster cat back exhaust, cold air intake, and underdrive pulleys.

When it snowed I parked the Mustang and drove the Jeep. In the nice weather I'd either crank up the A/C in the Mustang or take out the T-tops. I also had the option of rocking the Jeep with the top down.

I rolled like that for years and enjoyed the Hell out of having those 2 as daily drivers and my 72 Z/28 as a weekend car.

Finally I decided to sell the Mustang, keep the Jeep and buy my 02 F-150. Now I have the Jeep, the F-150, and my 66 Nova SS for weekend cruising.

Go for it.

Is it even legal for one guy to have so much fun?

I paid 12.5K for it in 1995, had to sell it due to bad knee and manual tranny.
God I loved that truck!
Did you really quote yourself and then refer to yourself in the third person? Lol geez get off your soap box with these trucks already as you've stated in other posts you could buy one for $6k but you instead spent 5x that for a new truck you hate return it and go buy another 95 already

My Dads 95 wasn't. It rusted out even though I took good care of it. We had to replace the tranny and rebuild the 8.8 rear-end. AC had to be recharged every year. I finally gave up on it when it developed a exhaust manifold leak.

It only had 180,000km on it.

The oldest I will go at this point is a '99. But it would have to be a gem.

I'd rather pay off what I have, and keep driving it while making a payment to myself. Having owned older vehicles until recently I've discovered I'm really tired of working on them. No matter how well maintained an older truck is, it's still an older truck and things will break more often.

Putting Lee on my ignore list has done wonders. He seems to think his 95 was a better truck. If that were the case, you would see a lot more of them on the road.

No you didnt. If the truck was so good, you could have swapped in a auto trans for less than 1/10th the price of your 2013 that you hate.

Yeah, it is a good point. I have had this truck since brand new. I do like swapping vehicles here and there for the fun of it.

I don't mind wrenching a bit and an pretty familiar with the last three generations of the F150's. But with that said, I don't want to get into one like my F350.
