When does converter lock and unlock
I'm assuming conv. is locked at cruising speed of 55-60 mph. Question is, does the conv. UNLOCK when throttle is closed and coasting then relocks when light acceleration or cruising at steady mph? What other patterns to lock/unlock are there? 1st or 2nd gear is NEVER locked or is at PARTIAL lock maybe? When lightly accelerating thru gears do all gears from 3rd and up stay locked?

Depends on what you're talking about. The torque converter in an '88 or older F150 NEVER locks. And there are quite a few of those out there. You should put ALL your truck's details & history (as much as you know) into your signature so it shows with each post, as this page explains:

Phone apps don't always show signatures, so you may need to switch to a real browser in desktop mode on your phone, or just use a desktop/laptop computer. Put your location (nearest city) in your profile &/or signature, & upload an avatar of the truck. The more pics you post (NOT in your sig) of the truck, engine, wiring, labels, & undercarriage, the more likely we can help you. Not all its details are relevant to these issues, but you don't necessarily know which ones are relevant, so just put everything in now.
Ford used the strategy described on this page for a few decades, so this MIGHT apply to yours:

There is a lot of variables, speed and throttle position play into it, but I dont know that anyone necessarily knows on the 2021+ since the tuning isnt widely available.
You could probably use Forscan to watch TC lockup.
On 2014 I dont believe it unlocks while coasting unless you get to really low RPM.

Yes, you can monitor TCC to see when the convers locks.
From my understanding, it remains unlocked below a pretty low speed as it will lock in 1st gear. Unlocks to switch gears, obv.
