Another option is to use spray-in bedliner to coat the fenderwells. With Al's Liner you can even color match it to the paint by mixing in matching paint tint. http://alsliner.com/alsliner

I was going to do this as well, but there is tomo much open metal in there, crud still gets flung into the bed sides.

I have had the Ford rear wheel well liners on my 2012 SupCrew since December 2011 and have had zero problems. With the smooth texture the dirt and mud just rinse right off. They fit tight and stay in place with not visual dirt build up any where.
