i would like to know if you can buy the little outer bearing on the hub assembly for a 2005 f150 4x4

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, you're talking about your front wheel bearing? If so on an 05 those are non-serviceable and are replaced as a unit

yes it is the front the little bearing is held in by a snap ring on the outer side of the wheel bearing
