Google.com works, there are tons of references and video's on you tube as well, it only applies to 04-08 5.4 engines air intake.

It looks like that mod could also be done on the 4.6 and 4.2, although I don't know if it will gain much on those engines. At least not without modifying the exhaust. The cat converter seems very restrictive.

 

Gotts mod can be done on any engine where the intake tube draws air from the fender. All you are doing is replacing the stock intake tube with a tube of larger diameter, thus providing greater air-flow.

 

Are there any significant gains?

 

You wont find Pepsi in a Coke machine either.

More engine noise is about it. Unless the engine is tuned for it and a better flowing exhaust.

 

^^^This, its more for noise and to say you did something "custom" to your truck, lol. I did the Gotts mod and a AEM dryflow drop in filter. I like it.

 

T'is true to a point.

Beginning in 2011 the air intake snorkle was ENLARGED making the Gott's mod' irrelevant.
