Default What to get....What to get......

Ok so here is my dilema, I am going to get an F-150 SuperCrew 4x4 eventually but I am torn between which years to get.
I like the 97-03 style as well as the 04-08 style, but the 04-08 have issues with the 4x4, spark plugs and cam phasers that I want to try and avoid if possible.
Now am I being to paranoid with the 04-08 issues or would it be better to stick to the 97-03?

I love my 03, but I would not stray away from the 04-08 due to those issues, just make sure if you buy one it has been well taken care of.

Get as new of a truck as you can afford.

'03's are already 8 model years old. Something to think about if youre financing a truck- do you really want a 4+ year loan on an 8+ year old truck?

the cam phaser issue only applies to the 04 and 05 f150 5.4... there arnt any issues with 06-08 5.4 4x4 or the 04-08 4.6

in 06 and newer you can get a supercrew with a 6.5ft box. I really Really wish I had found one of those.
