Default what an exciting year.....

Well lets start back in janaury.... i traded in my 07 silverado for an 08 f150 screw...got the front end upgraded... then i lost my job due to them loosing there contracts... bummer... then i refinanced truck and got 4.5 percent ineterest...good thing, very good thing... then i got new job, better than living on street but not paying what i am used to.... but then now i just bought a house and got a new job in the same week... so truck mods are gonna be put on hold till spring.. House is a fixer upper but has greatpotentional... the best thing is though it will be paid off in five years... i know how to do 99 percent of what needs to be done and even if the economy sux again or gets even worse I will still be able to afford my house... I just about had the money saved up for sct tuner but that went towards down payment... but it will come around... now that I have carried on I really hope you all have something good to happen to you also.

Congrats! Sounds like things are definitely moving in the right direction for you. I can bask in the same sunlight because this year I was accepted to a flight school I never thought I would get into. I leave in 2 weeks and it will be the start of a whole new life for me.

that sounds really killer. You know i wanted in the military (air force) very bad when i graduated from high school. I wanted the schooling, discipline etc... and also to go to germany. But my eyes kept me from getting in. I tried three different states and even tried a waiver for administrative and no dice.... but anyway thanks for the reply to you and the others..

Karl,
Glad to hear things have sorta worked out for you. I too am faced with a possible loss of job. I work for a company that transports the Trail Blazer made in Moraine OH. They are closing the plant 2010 or sooner depending on the future sales.
I've been with this company 20 plus years and am currantly working temp. over in Jersey for a few weeks. Looks like Toyota business is crazy over here.
Well enough of that hope all goes well for you.

i used to live in cinci... i remember ford had a plant on "front wheel drive"... how "different".... they would hire people in at 35 an hour...you work 3 months then off 3 months... no benefits.... well the beneifts is that i owuld have been on a beach in mexico 3 months then work for 3..lol.. but yeah it is getting tough and a person has to think about this...even in hard times what do people still spend money on... that is the area to go to..... you may make less but less is better than nothing... i have had to take a 2.00 dollar an hour pay cut to stay working... it is depressing at times but i have to try and think about 1. my truck 2. my other bills and that keeps me kicking... but i design business cards and things for people so i am getting ready to launch a web site for this purpose and see if i cant go "nationwide".. like ZZTop...lol
