Hauled all my gun range stuff around to the back porch so I could adjust the scope on my ARA set up, then hauled it all the way back around to the garage before the rains came.

Emptied the truck of everything not bolted down at the factory... kept some extended warranty paperwork in the glove box and a pen and a pack of chewing gum under the center armrest... The truck has not been so literally empty of my gear since the day I brought it home. I cleaned it out for two reasons: It may be going to the dealer next week for a diagnosis, and it was time for a summer camp gear overhaul.
I did leave the Hi Lift jack attached to it's mounts in the bed. Additions to my near-no-options '16 5.0 XLT 5.5' bed SuperCrew are:
1) Bilsteins. 2) Wheels/tires. 3) Cat-back factory exhaust system modification. 4) Grille swap. 5) FoMoCo rear wheel well liners. 6) Roadmaster Active Suspension (a rear leaf springs accessory). 7) Ford Custom Accessories Class III receiver hitch. 8) FoMoCo integrated trailer brakes controller. 9) 7-pin socket, harness.
While the truck was empty of tools, offroad recovery gear, compressor, tire repair kit, 2 metal coolers full of camp kitchen kit, 10 X 10 EasyUp, 4' X 2' folding table, 36-count case .5 liter bottled water and four or five heavy furniture pads and ratchet straps to snug it all to the deck... I went to a Public Scales and weighed the damn thing.
4800 lbs exactly. Full tank and nobody in the driver seat.
I'll weigh it again after I shove everything I removed back into it next week along with some butchered plywood in a lame attempt at keeping it all organized... I'd love to do some Truck Vault or Decked stuff but that ain't in the cards any time in the next 6 months...
I do love this truck, though. Love how it drives, steers, handles, and how quiet it can be just goin' down the road while I sit in these great, comfy seats. It is starting to run better again now that I've fixed that very small evaporative emission system leak by replacing that cracked evap canister housing. DTC was P0456. Other than an annoying part-throttle stumble there were no other symptoms. This thing runs hard when I tip into it. Those who think the 5.0 'yote is a dog motor simply don't know how to drive using a little rpm.

Went to Church this morning, then to the car wash. Then went to a different Church for a Cruise in/Car Show. No entry fee and free food for drivers. For voting, everyone had plastic jugs for donations. The one with the most money collected won People's Choice. Lots of money was put in the jugs and the winning car was a 67/68 Mustang (I know the difference, just can't remember which it was). I couldn't believe it when I won Kids Choice. I used to get Kids Choice a lot when I showed my 1950 F1 that is fixed up like Tow Mater from CARS movie. Actually they were showing CARS for the kids today and had asked me to bring Tow Mater. He needs some work and I haven't been up to working on him lately. So I was pleasantly pleased to win Kids Choice today.
Btw, the money raised today was going for the children's programs and missions.
