save your money and buy a little at a time. some guys on here can afford to drop $3000 on a lift tires and rims all at once, either that or they are living in major debt.

Save up..or if you plan on doing a good amount of work at once some may find is easier to take out a personal small loan to do some work. all depends on your job/lifestyle i guess..ive had my truck for 5 years(its an 06 i bought in 08 and i pay it off in june) only thing ive done is a stereo, grant it it was expensive and a kick *** stereo thats it and it wasnt until i had it for 2 years and i had some of the equipment from before..and i am now just finally doing lift wheels intake exhaust ect..

Crap, when I was young if it cost a dime to go to China, I couldn't even get out of sight. Things do get better as you go if you pay attention to the money. Now (not bragging) it doesn't hurt if I want to buy something for my F-150. But, I do have to make sure the Wifey likes what I buy.

Save your money for the gas tank.....I just never understood the need to lift a truck and throw all that money at cosmetic stuff, and exhaust, tires...etc...I suppose if I lived in the backwoods where there were no paved roads, and the roads were all rutted up all the time, then maybe some good tires and a small lift would be in order. But most lifted trucks out there never leave the road. Ahh, to each their own I suppose. Just do little stuff to make it your own.

AGREE big time! Gas prices are trending up. Oversize tires put a lot of excess wear on a transmission too. 8-10 mpg doesn't work for me. If you're gonna put a stupid amount of money into something, put it into your home. You live there, not in your truck.
