Default What is This Button For?

This is zip tied beside the OBD-II port. Looks like a push button switch. I've tried pressing it but I don't see anything happening. 2010 F-150 Lariat.

looks like a valet switch for an aftermarket alarm

That was my initial thought but I don't have an after market alarm. Maybe something to do with the Remote Start System or Trailer Package?

It is a valet switch for factory remote start that was installed.

Did a search and found the Ford manuals but did not see a reference to said switch! The search continues...

What ever it is, it is NOT factory installed that much is certain.

Well it's been bypassed or ur truck wouldn't start. Definitely not something Ford put there. If u just bought it I would take it back and see if they can help you out. I can't tell from the pic whether its a button or something else
