water pump stud and installation

Default water pump stud and installation

I last month I remove the water pump of my 96 f150 5.0 i have no idea were the bolts go, also i like to know if i should put a bid of rtv around the gasket?
Any idea how i can figure out were the studs go?

some guys do others don't....any rust pitting on the engine block/water pump mounting area then yes...thin layer, it'll help hold the gasket in place as well..

this help me to figure out for anyone in the future that may need figure out the bolt location its seams it only would fit one way http://www.autoclinix.com/Ford/Pump4.htm
