As far as my understanding, it will not void your warranty but the parts that were replaced with aftermarket parts. Even if there is a failure of drivetrain parts, a dealer will still have to prove that your drivetrain failed because of those parts. I can be wrong, but I highly doubt that any of those parts that you have listed will void your warranty. The bumper to bumper and the power train warranty will still be in effect.

Sorry forgot to add. There is no way they can completely void your warranty with those parts listed.

You can install air intake but any problems before going to dealer remove it and install stock, even with the exhaust too.

I have heard of dealers voiding warranties on wet filter installed vehicles (K&N type). The dealer could say that freeing up more horsepower can cause additional stress on the entire drivetrain above and beyond what it was intended to take. Best idea is to ask your dealer. It pays to play.

I work at a dealership and deal with warranties all the time. Generally the only thing frowned upon is a programmer. Lift, exhaust(muffler only), CAI and other things similar aren't much of a big deal. Hell we actually sell exhaust and K&N CAI's

I would echo this ^^^ The only thing that might cause issues is something like an oil'd filter on your CAI. If you end up with a fouled emission sensor (MAF...something like that. Maybe even a problem with your throttle-by-wire) I could understand some slimey dealership trying to blame the oiled filter for messing with the truck. After all, it was designed to use a dry filter.

This. Can't go wrong with asking your dealer, that way you know what their answer is.

Default Will Lights Void Warranty????

I dont want to steal your thread I just don't want to start another thread with the same title. I wanted to ask a question about voiding a warranty as well.

I am going to do a set of 2013 Retrofitted Head Lights in my 2012 F150. I called the dealership I bought the truck from and they said that the warranty of my truck is voided if I change my lights.

I spoke with Bil about the situation and Bil told me to call around and see what other dealerships were saying about changing the head lights. So I called around and out of the ten dealerships I called the only dealership that said it would void my warranty was the dealership I bought the truck from.

A few of the other dealerships are even selling the aftermarket lights(beamer lights for an F150) and are saying that if I get the lights installed through a Ford Dealership then everything is covered under warranty. One of the dealerships told me they can get an aftermarket wire harness kit and that is a direct plug and play. I calledFord Canada and they told me that if I change the lights to Ford lights then I don't void the warranty and if I change my lights to aftermarket lights then I still wont void the warranty of the truck and I only have warranty that comes from the company who produced the lights. Ford Canada told me to take my business to a dealership that says that they will do retorfits or upgrades to Head Lights.

I have also checked to see if installing a light bar with four lights on it would void the warranty and the dealership where I bought from said this was O.K. to do.

Can anyone else give me some input about this?

I have also asked about the Cold Air Intake and Ford Canada told me that as long as a Ford Dealership Installs the Cold Air Intake then it will not void any warranties. They said because then Ford will install it correctly and if anything goes wrong then its up to them. To me it sounds like a money grab to Pay a Dealership to install aftermarket upgrades.
