my 89 f150 came from the factory with a 4.9l i know this for two reason. one i have the orginal paper work on it. two my dad bought it new in 89L. i ran the vin for ****s and giggles to decode it and the vin comes back saying it came with a 5.8L. anyone have any insight to this

 

Some truck somewhere has a 5.8 and the VIN says it has a 4.9. I'd be pretty upset. Lol.

 

just gave me a great idea to drop one in now lol
