Default vent shades issue

Happy fathers day to all. My issue i added a set of putco in channel vent shades on my 2013 f150 s-crew, now my front windows wont go clear up with the auto up button. When the windows hit the vent shade they automaticly go back down. In order to get them clear up I have to bump the window up by clicking the switch. Is there a way to turn off the auto up function?

The auto up and auto down feature can be by passed by not pressing the switch to the 2nd detent position, feel the switch when you push up or down slowly, you can feel it click twice.

Also I have read that after a few times going up and down tends to allow the auto up to somehow get used to the drag from the in channel visors but don't quote me on that.

What rnlcomp said. I have the WeatherTech in-channel vent visors. Mine did the same thing. But over time it seems to quit doing that. Give it a few and you'll be fine.

It's not the auto up feature causing you trouble. It's a safety feature designed into the motor controls. Ford makes claims in the owners guide that you can override the bounce back function but does not offer detailed descriptions on the proper method. The service manual offers a tiny bit more info, but it's also useless as it doesn't work. Some have had luck re-training their system by pulling power to the window on an auto down cycle. Some have had luck where the window seems to seat itself and the problem goes away. On my 11 (owned now for 2.5 years), I have had zero luck at eliminating this annoying problem. About once a month I have to pull the power (fuse) to each of the front windows to temporarily deactivate the bounce back.

Hope you have better luck then I have.
