Default Valentine One hardwired in 2011 EB

Well I recently got a Valentine one radar detector and just got a chance to get it hardwired into my battery. I tapped into the power from the 4X4 switch. Check it out

Sweet Remote location. Looks nice and keeps the controls within reach.
I hadnt thought of putting it there but then lost the spot when I installed my brake controller.

I've remoted mine through my Iphone and an add-a-circuit to power the Detector.

ive always wondered... once a radar detector goes off means his radar has hit your detector meaning he has you on radar?

then a reaction time of you to hear noise and slow down.... your screwed..

Right?

You have a valid point, but its not like im doing 120 mph when im getting tagged, the valentine has gave me plenty of warning and enough time for me to slow down. Also theres usually many others cars out on the road too

Uh... No.... not always.

The "radar waves" will continue to travel straightline (away from the gun) further than it will 'bounce back" what these will help with are 1) the gun is left on and you detect it at long range, 2) He pulses a vehicle ahead of you and you are picking the signal up - giving you time to adjust your speed.

I've picked up signals from quite aways away.

However if you are close to the source and he pings you.... yeah, he has you before you can really react.

Ive run mine through VA quite frequently... Haven't been pulled over for it yet.

Although I do move the detector so it is not as noticeable.

Default V1BlueShark make your Valentine wireless

Really NICE Job and good pictures. [wrench]

But i think its better to use V1BlueShark device then you will get rid of Remote Display + Audio Display and at the same time you will save your car from scratches during fixing Remote Display.
It make the alarm by voice and red warning in your cell phone.[cool]
It get rid of False Alarms by inserting positions of door opener's so V1 won't give alarms in these positions.

Plus all of that if you got GPS in your Cell phone, you can create an Excel table with all Radar position (Coordinates), type(X,K,Ka,L) and time.
