Upper control arm
While I agree with some of your post, it is not a misconception. The spacer kit has one height. You have no idea of the actual lift (just a range) until it is installed and cannot change it afterwards. A spacer kit ALWAYS results in limited up travel of the suspension and ALWAYS results in over extension of the down travel. Bilstein 5100 is adjustable height so teh geometry can be adjusted, and they control both up and down travel.

No matter how you word it, a spacer style level that raises the truck 2” and a shock setup that also raises 2” will affect the geometry the same and will put the same strain on the same parts.
At 1.75” you’re not going to cause any issues either way if you dont go crazy off roading.

Mine looks pretty much like that. On;t effects will be you'll burn through upper ball joints faster. I am getting ready to do uppers on my truck after 50K miles. They do sell uppers that are designed to be used with levels. They have a different ball joint angle or better joint.
Lift Spindles still cause the same angles on your driveshafts. There are several upper control arms that fix that angle of the upper arm and would be recommended before a lift spindle. I just had the ICON Delta Joint upper control arms installed. I like them. I went with the Halo Lifts coilover which is much better than a spacer. The ride is so much better.
