Hello, I have someone looking at a new 2016 F150 XLT regular cab truck with an 8'ft bed. Wheelbase is 141" inches. The truck has a 23 gallon gas tank but he would like to swap it out with the 36 gallon tank. My service and parts department does not know if this is possible so this is why I am reaching out to the forum. Has anyone done this? Does anyone have a list of parts needed? Does anyone know what it cost to do? Help appreciated, thank you!

Yes, 8ft. bed, I mentioned that in the original post. It also has the 5.0L V8 in case that info is needed as well

Anyway, I think someone else on here recently made a thread about changing the tank. Might be for the 12th gen though.

 

You can go to any Ford dealer and special order one if they don't have any

 

Can we get back to the question at hand...anyone know if you can swap the 23 gallon tank for the 36 gallon tank?
