Default Upgrading driver's seat?

Anyone ever start out with a base XL driver's seat and upgrade to one with more adjustability? I have found F-150 seats to be a pretty good fit, but may want the ability to fiddle with the lumbar support.

Steve, are they buying OEM seats from somewhere? Wreckers? E-bay? Aftermarket seats? I did some preliminary Googling on this and didn't really find a solid source.

Yes, all of those. And classified ad forums on BBSs like this one, and LetGo, and... The source depends on exactly what seat you want. An uncomfortable aftermarket "race" seat; a luxury HVAC 8-way memory leather chair w/airbags from some other vehicle; or a common XLT chair that comes in trucks similar to yours. I put Econoline chairs in my Bronco. I haven't decided what to put in the one I'm building, but it certainly won't be originals.
