Unleveling
I took off the factory 20s and installed a set of ATX teflon coated wheels. I specifically went with a P rated tire so as to not add weight and not to make the ride quality so harsh as with 10 plys. The fuel mileage difference was noticeable but not a deal breaker for me.

that's pretty interesting... I kind of went the opposite direction and leveled prior to upping the tire size. I certainly noticed a difference in MPG with the level but going from 255/70/17 p rated tires to 295/70/17 E rates tires was much more significant. now obviously they aren't just taller and heavier but also wider and all those things increase the power needed to turn them... Guess it's likely fair to say there must not be a definitive answer to which causes the biggest loss in MPG?
I just went with a taller tire, not wider. From 275/65/18 to 275/70/18. They are 10 ply. I wanted a 10 ply because of the roads I drive on. And I did need a little bit of a lift (due to muddy roads and rig locations), but I think the level is just a bit too much. Going to a larger 10 ply tire will obviously affect gas millage, but so does aerodynamics. I live in ND where it's always windy, and having it leveled makes the air resistance so much worse, especially with a head wind.
I know it's the tires not the level. I leveled at 2.25" with Bilsteins and I barely noticed any MPG loss but when I got my 275/70-18's it dropped a good bit, you gotta pay to play.
You could have done a little research prior. Either yank it and still get crappy milage or add a set of airbags and it will be leveled out with gear.
Aiming the lights take maybe 10 mins.
