Default Unknown issue.

Hello all.
I am new to the forum and could use some help! I'm a pretty decent when it comes to working on cars, but this is a new thing for me. So my issue is this.

I have a 2012 f150 3.5L ecoboost. Ago a week ago my truck started acting funny. It would loose power to the turbos and wouldn't have any power. If I turned the truck off and back on the problem went away for a little while and would happen again. Then my check Engine light came on and it gave me an Engine light came on and it gave me an P0299 code for low boost turbo/supercharger. Anyone have the same issue or have a fix?

losing power to the turbos is generally a major leak in flow somewhere....

Any smoke?

No. There is no smoke, and the issue Doesn't happen all the time. It does it at random times. When the turbos are working they don't make any noises or it doesn't act weird. Then all of a sudden a complete loss of power. The turbos won't even spool up.

P0299 - Turbocharger/Supercharger A Underboost Condition

Description: This DTC sets when the actual throttle intake pressure is less than the desired throttle intake pressure by 27.6 kPa (4 psi) or more for 5 seconds. A minimum throttle intake pressure (TIP) PID reading during engine operation indicates an underboost condition.

Possible Causes: Damaged turbocharger (TC) wastegate regulating valve solenoid
TC wastegate regulating solenoid valve stuck
Wastegate stuck open
Wastegate control hose open or plugged
Air leak between turbocharger and throttle

Diagnostic Aids: Check tubing for obstructions, cracks and incorrect fitting connections.

Check the turbocharger wastegate regulating valve solenoid for correct operation.

Gonna have to get some diag from someone that knows how to tshoot the system.

I think the wastegate solenoid getting stuck sounds about right...but I wouldn't have any way to diagnose it myself.
