We had a flex as well. 2009 limited. Man that car was nice. Smooth ride, all the bells and whistles. I agree brakes were to small for the vehicle. The only reason we got rid of it was it turned into a money pit in the front end due to poor suspension for the weight of the vehicle. All the bushings were worn out by 180k kms. Needed thousands in repairs in the front end that we had to keep up with. Wheel bearings. Tie rod ends. Water pump went in the tim hortons drive thru... that was an experience and an expensive fix. Sold the flex and got a 4Runner for the wife. Now the test to see how the 4Runner fares. 3” toytec lift and ko2s pro grill and pro wheels.

Come to think of it, my Flex needed a front wheel bearing within 10K miles. The one I had is a rare one, SEL Ecoboost, Cinnamon with white roof. The second owner still has it and brings it into my dealer for service. They don't want to give it up either.
