Theyre not really that bad if theyre the right kind. Generally the aluminum ones look like crap though.

Ill admit to having a fiberglass cap on my '87 Ranger and an aluminum cap on my '93 S10 but I bought them cheap and only used them in the winter to keep the snow out.

My current truck has a soft tonneau cover.

Agreed...if it needs to be removed, then just take it off. Problem solved. I think they look nice when they are color matched and stylish.......

since this is about Ugly Upgrades...

1) Whip antennas
2) "Truck nut" sacks hanging from the bumper (just looks nasty going down the road)
3) Stupid, ****ty sounding smokers on a truck (stacks through the bed)
4) Blacked out headlights and tail lights on certain colors of trucks
5) the front of a truck all jacked up with the back of one sitting low like it has a load of schit in the bed (commonly refered to as a "level lift" with cranked torsion bars)

I could keep going, but there is a start IMHO. All of which look worse than a stylish, color matched camper shell on a truck. Camper shells add utility options for those who use a truck for more than tall loads that can endure weather.

ok everything you just mentioned are extremely "stylish" with the exception to # 5 we put real lifts on out trucks where im from and i would rather have everything you just said then to have a UGLY *** CAMPER TOP on my truck.... even if they are they same color they still totally defeat the purpose of a truck!

ok i dont agree with u fully. ill go with 2, 3, kinda 4 but i got a whip and its not just rednecked in (no offense to anyone) and its not show, i actually use it. and number 5, where i come from thats called bulldogged and i think a little higher in the front looks pretty good. now i didnt go an take out my blocks but i got my tbars tightened. but everything else ur good on

Nope, but it is a bed cap. One of the posts on page 1 stated that bed caps look like crap, hence my reply...
