Has anyone been brave/skilled enough to replace the tweeters?
I have ordered the kicker kit from Beau but am wondering if the tweeters need upgraded as well.

Best buy has a replacement for 3.5 but they don't look that big

Given that OEM tweeters weren't available until gen'12, you may want to consider posting in thesection more helpful/appropriate than General F150 Discussion posts.

I replaced the factory tweeters and front components + crossovers in my 2005 11th gen lariat w/ audiophile sound with JBL GTO8608C. They sound awesome. Fairly easy install once I figured out what bracket to use. The speakers included 3 or 4 different tweeter brackets. I had to remove the door panel to get access to the back of the tweeter.

 

I installed the JL Audio C2 tweeter in my 2014. You do have to trim the hole a little bit to get them to fit, buy I think they look nice. I'm using a JL component set with the Kicker soundgate kit BTW.
