Default Tugging contest?

K fellas a guy that I work with is a big demolition derby kind of guy. So along with that he's a big chevy guy, since that's about all those cars were good for back in the day! Lol. So today at work he proceeds to tell me that with the 76 impala he's got, he would have no problem hooking up to my 06 f150 w/5.4 and pulling me backwards! I called his bull**** and along came the argument. He thoughts are with the weight of that car and the 355 he's got in it that it will be no problem. I told him to put his money where his mouth is. Thousand dollar bet! Thoughts?

Video is a must!
But a car vs. truck. Idk. I would say a truck would take that home! But there must be a reason that guy is some sure his impala will take you out.

P.S. video is a must!

I actually went with this guy to Illinois to get this car here a while back. The car actually had a hitch mounted on the car. That's where he plans to hook up. I would would think that the height of mine to his I would be pulling up a little and taking weight off his rear end to.

I dont see how you could lose if you were locked into 4wd....unless you completely screw it up. I would think back bumper to back bumper you would partially lift the rear end of his car off the ground and he'd have very little traction...and no traction, regardless of how big of a motor he has = him getting yanked backwards pretty quickly.

*edit* you ninja'd me with your last post and took the words right out of my mouth.

But the fact that you say he has a hitch on the back and is quite confident makes me a little skeptical with the situation. I'd demand a good look over his car before betting anything to make sure its not some weird Frankenstein car with 4wd and loaded down with weights or something lol.

Dirt, pavement or what? Pretty much boils down to the driver, let him break traction first then slowly pull him where ever you wish.

IF you are both in 2wd... I bet he takes you...... Unless your truck is quite a bit higher.

Hes probably got a healthy ending... welded rear diff... frame is probably welded up good... (considering hes did some demo mods to the car)
