Default True or NOT True?

I heard from a friend the other night that Ford was discontinuing the Ranger and bringing back the F100...Any truth to this..Keep in mind the guy was drunk as **** when he told me this lol.

i doubt they would get rid of their ONLY small pickup. and the f100 was an f150. just a name change in i THINK '73 so i think its safe to say your friend was full of it, but hey, i could be wrong.

Yeah I was pretty sure he was full of ****..I did some research and couldnt find anything about it...It'd be a huge mistake to get rid of it now considering the gas prices..which interestingly enough the cheap stuff went to 3.95 a gallon here today.

I have heard that from a few people. It woudl stay a small truck, but be the f100 insted of the renger to better fit into the ford lineup. (ex 100, 150, 250, 350, ect)

I've not heard that, but I could see it happening...I mean they brought the cougar back as a sporty econobox...and GM brought back the GTO as a "little" car (albeit with a big engine option)...don't get me wrong I like both cars in their present form (especially the GTO), but I don't think they don't do justice to the heritage of those muscle car names.

Would be kinda funny to see F100's again...I had a '66 F100 many years back (ah youth...460 CID and a 3spd on the floor...could smoke the tires in any gear at any speed, LOL!)

Glad I could give ya a trip down memory lane sir. I think I COULD see them doing this but I dont think it will be in the next year or so like my drunken pal said it would be lol..Chevy scrapped the S-10 for the Colorado and Dodge made the Dakota bigger so I assume its Fords turn. Thanks you guys..I was afraid I had put this in the wrong section or something.

Thanks SuperDave..Both of those had a lot of information..So this seems like something that is actually going to happen..I dont understand it with gas prices as high as they are but hey thats why the people at FORD are wealthy and I work an 8.25 an hour job lol..

And yeap dodge lined the Dakota up and beat the living s.hit out of it with an ugly stick..I do however like the interior of them as I drove one for a loaner between wrecking my previous truck and purchasing my F150.

I absolutely hate both of those designs for the supposed new ford..Not a fan of that at all..But I dont plan on buying a new truck for several more years so maybe they'll do better when my time comes.

Thanks for all the info guys.
