Default Truck Temperature Fluctuating

Hi Everyone,

Please can anyone help?

Background details:
  • 2011 Ford F150 Ecoboost
  • Today's temperature is -30 Celsius
  • The water pump was replaced this past summer
So, I was travelling on the highway at a speed of 110 km and noticed my temperature gauge getting hotter. I slowed down and turned the truck heater on full-blast and the temperature went back down to normal. If I turned off the interior heater the truck temperature would climb again. If I accelerated the temperature would go up. I had to keep the interior heater on full and the window open to keep the truck engine temperature at normal. I think I have a bad thermostat. Please you thoughts and wisdom are appreciated.

Have you confirmed that the water level is OK? Low water can cause these systems.
