Default Truck sitting for extended period of time???

Hey gang, I am away from home with work. At first it was only supposed to be for 6 days, but it looks like I will be gone for 16 days or more! Will I have to worry about anything happening to my truck for sitting for such an extended period of time?

No. First thing to go would be the gas, but that takes about 3 months to start going bad. Only other thing to really worry about is the battery, but a good battery should go for at least a few months without a charge, especially in warm weather.

16 days is no problem. I have one vehicle I drive once a month and a third I drive a couple times a year. So, I keep a Battery Tender 800 Waterproof 12V Battery Charger (they are about $36 on Amazon and pay for themselves in keeping batteries going) on these two and I also put STA-BIL in the gasoline in one that gets rare driving.

No worries on 16 days....

Edit: reason I posted this is I have seen my KR F150 drain a newish good battery in a couple weeks. Dealership said they see it all the time. And, letting a battery hit bottom can be hard on it.....

Put a battery tender on it and park it. It will be fine.

I'm a long haul trucker and I have to leave my 2011 F150 to sit for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. One thing I noticed (especially in cold seasons) is that brakes suffer and it might take longer to stop the truck the first time you drive it after it has been sitting. I'm thinking of upgrading the factory brakes to something corrosion-resistant but those cost a lot of money ..

16 days is nothing even a month is nothing, Just yesterday I drove our back up car (chevy equinox) out of the garage, last time it was driven was march I had nothing hooked up to it to keep the battery charged it started up no problem, I'll drive it until empty put ethanol free gas in it and park it for another 6 months.
