Yes I'm active duty Navy and am being transferred out there. I sent the truck early so that it's waiting for me when my family and I get out there. We should be there around Sept 27th and the latest the truck will arrive is Oct 2nd, but will probably be there before then.

Oh ok. Why does it take sooo long for the truck to get to Hawaii?? I would only think that it would take no longer than 3 weeks.

he is probably getting shipped via the military ... so it will get shipped by the cheapest bidder, or when thy have enough vehicles/cargo to justify the cost of moving a seaborne vehicle .. there is no common sense in the military

he couldve shipped via an independant contractor, and had it there in 3 weeks or so

Truck was dropped off at the New Orleans vehicle processing center yesterday. Will be loaded up on a car carrier and trucked out to Los Angeles and then loaded up on a ship for the final leg to Hawaii. They just say estimate that it'll take that long, but my buddy shipped his car and it only took 3 weeks. I shipped it early just to ensure it's either sitting there waiting on me or will be there soon after my family and I arrive. Rentals in Hawaii aren't cheap.
