On my 2014 if I lightly tap on the reset button while the Trip 1 or 2 is displayed it pauses the trip meter until you tap the button again. I've done it by mistake at few times. Not sure if it works the same on all trucks, but that is how it works on mine. To reset you have to push the button and hold it down for a few seconds. It isn't hard to accidentally bump the button while driving.

It has to have a reset button somewhere if it's a trip meter. How do you get it back to 0?

Can you post pics of the display? It may help solve the issue.

The OK button is the reset button for this. If you unintentionally bump that button while turning the steering wheel the trip meter will pause. If you lightly tap that same button again the display comes back. It looks like this on my truck

Normal

Paused

The display may be different on 2019's. I just don't know. But if this doesn't fix it then I have no idea.
