Question Transmission Question

I am wondering if there is a proceedure listed for changing the transmission fluid on a 2003 f-150 4.2 V6 auto? The fluid has never been changed, 113k miles, I am not having any problems with it. If so should I drain the fluid from the convertor also?
Thanks for your time

If the converter can be drained, drain it. At 113K the fluid is pretty well worn out; even when using a good tran fluid I change it out every 50K miles. Service the tran with a new filter and pan gasket (of course), then refill with Mercon V. If you want to go top-drawer with the tran, refill with Chrysler ATF+4.
