Default Transmission issues

What's up all?
I have a 99 6 cyl 2wd and an 04 6 cyl std cab 2wd. Both with tranny problems.
Aren't there 2 models of trans in these trucks?
I'm starting with the 04 has major oil pan leak and huge trans leak. Air bags deployed ( nothing to do with each other) interior shot.
The truck was given to me by nabber.
I filled the trans up ( 5qts low or something) and drove it around. Not great but better than my truck they has Ben going out for a couple years.
I'm hoping to replace both oil pan and trans pan gaskets and get lucky.
Do I have to drop trans clear out to change gasket, and if trans out of way is there enough room to loosen mother mounts, jack engine up, and remove oil pan?
I've done a bit of searching in here but no luck.
I know all you gear heads and ford junky shave some killer wisdom and I would love to get some of it on this truck.
Thanks

sounds like you are going to have to drop the tranny anyway to fix the front seal. Maybe just as easy to pull motor and trans in one piece & fix both while out of the truck just my 2 cents
