Default transmission concern

my 21 f150 has shifted on 4 occasions into reverse when drive was chosen. Each time it was cold morning start and in winter months. all summer and fall was no issues. This morning in Detroit. shift to drive got me reverse. My foot was still on brake looking at selector. I let off brake she reversed for a moment then went forward. dealer wants to try and replicate concern, just wondering if anyone had a similar experience.

Just to clarify, so the truck dash said you were in drive but the transmission momentarily went to reverse? (and then into drive shortly after on its own?)

in short, yes. this morning it began reversing. I braked immediately. never touched shifter, looked down and was in drive. I let off brake cautiously. my garage wall is behind me. It reversed momentarily and then went forward, this happened last winter 3 times, got into the habit on cold starts to make sure it went forward before fully removing my foot from brake. I would assume a software issue. I have column shifter.

Hey there! If you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your concerns on my end.

Same issues going on with my 2022 F150 5.0 SXT. Truck will stop in its tracks on 2wd when rolling down my driveway especially when it's cold. Really have to pump the gas for it to engage in R.
