I have a 1995 Ford F150 Standard short bed with a 5.0 v8. I had a 5 speed manual transmission and replaced it with a Ford AOD Automatic transmission. The present gear cannot handle the overdrive. The truck falls on its face in high gear and drops speed.I cannot find a tag on the rear end to identify the gears. The door sticker has an "L" for axle id.
How can I figure out what gear I have presently and what gear I need?
