Need info. I have a 2003 f150 5.4l supercrew XLT rear wheel drive
automatic. What different year model transmission can bolt up to that engine. Anyone with reliable information
Please. Thank you ahead of time for info.

That's an open ended question, you can bolt of all kinds of trans to that 5.4 with adapter plates and such. I think what you are really asking is what years can I install and no need for any software tuning needed or other parts like TCU's etc.? Are you saying you want the same transmission? Do you have the 4R75E or W, that's the first thing you need to specify, what do you have?

Trans Info Extracted from Wikapedia and can be found at website:

2003

4R75W Used in:
4R70W usage in trucks:
The above does not answer your question 4R70W and 4R75W transmissions were installed in most full sized Ford cars and trucks for many years and will bolt up but some require spacer plate and 4 wheel drive have a different length output shat and extension housing.

I'm not sure. I was looking for a direct fit I know ford will use the same transmission for the couple of years on engine. I'm not looking for something I have to buy new software for.
