So I just bought a 1984 F150 with the Windsor 351, and couldn't be more excited. She has a lot of issues for me to work on, but the most pertinent right now is, I believe, in the transfer case. Here's what's happening:

During various shifting situations, the vehicle is going out of 2wd and into drivetrain neutral. In order to get it back in gear, I have to basically jerk the 4x4 shifter between 4low and 2high. I know this is obviously bad for it, but it does work to get her moving again.

It has only come out while I was in gear one time, and it was climbing a steep hill. Every other time has been while shifting.

My diagnosis is that I need to adjust the linkage to the transfer case, and the issue should be solved. Any feedback on this is appreciated.
