Default trans swap

okay a buddy of mine just bought a 1993 5.0 to restore and we need to pull the trans out. any tips or tricks on getting it out?? Thanks

Taking out the bolts usually helps

Upon installation of a new transmission, would you need to bolt it in or could you just use ratchet straps?

ratchet straps would probably be a better option. Lol

Have a jack or something to hold it up once you start unbuttoning it?.
