Default Trans fluid and filter change

I have a 2009 f150 4.6 reg cab with 4 speed auto transmission. I bought this truck brand new. Its has 60,000 miles on it now. The manual isn't clear on when to change out trans fluid and filter. The fluid still looks pink and truck has never seen heavy duty use and very little dirt road use. When should I change fluid and filter?

Change the fluid (if you wish), but leave the filter alone. It's probably just fine for quite a while yet given your easy use of the truck.

My maual for my 2006 (with 5.4L and auto) says to change out at 150k miles, which I did (dealer did flush and refill). Surprised your truck doesn't have an interval listed?

Scheduled Maintenance brochure for 2009 F-150 (not in owner's manual):

Appears to be every 60,000 miles. Many mechanics say don't mess with transmissions on older vehicles if they've been running fine, as does Rnlcomp here.

Maybe I will just leave it alone then, thanks.
