Default Trani Questions

My truck has a hard shift when it down shifts to either 1st or second gear. That is really the only time I notice it. Should I..... put some lucus trani lube in the trani?? If so what is the best way to do this? I have watched several videos just wanted to get some input from here. I checked the trani fluid cold and it was very full on the dipstick...
Truck mileage 168k

Thx for reading

it is past full but this is when the tranny is not warmed up if that makes a difference. I tried to pull the fill plug in the back "not warmed up" to add lucas there but fluid started coming out so I stopped

I have a 2010 f150 5.4 with 6 speed tranny. The back of the tranny has a drain and fill plug. I checked the level from the dipstick toward the front of the tranny.

Is your truck 4X4? The transfer case has a drain and fill plug but not the transmission.
