Traction Control Fault
My 2017 F150 SCREW has given me 100,820 trouble free miles. Today, I was driving normally and made a couple of stops. After the 2nd stop, the dash lit up and every fault light was on. A warning in the center said to service the traction control. The wrench light was lit as well as the check engine and airbag lights. I tried to drive it and it was in limp home mode. No power and hard to get moving. I was stuck in town and every intersection was a challenge. I had to make one more stop and I took that time to look on line for a solution. One source said to stop the engine, turn the ignition on and disconnect the negative battery terminal for five minutes. That was supposed to create a soft reset. Well, I did and it didn't. Next stop was the Ford Dealer. I stopped in the lot and went inside to see a guy in Service that I trust. He was busy and I waited about 20 minutes before I left with the idea I would bring the truck in Monday. I started it up and the only fault light was the check engine light. The truck ran normally all the way home, other than the check engine light. OK, what happened to cause the faults and what happened to clear them?
