Default TPMS question

My tires run at 38 psi. This is my first vehicle with the TPMS system and I was just wondering low does a tire have to get before the warning appears?

On a Freestar van, 35psi normal, sensor kicks in at 29-30 psi. It's saved some grief on two occasions with slow leaks....can't wait to trade to a newer F150 with TPMS.

I have only had a TPMS warning once and the tire was at least 10 psi low.
