Default Towed perfectly until.....

Just bought a Silverton 271 express and towed 11k lbs with the truck (max tow pack, 3.5l 10spd, fx4, sport) made it 45 miles into a 90 mile trip and blew 3 tires on the passenger side.....sigh. the truck did a great job, even without have the trailer assist on. Now she won't shift into gear. What the hell?!

If you are plugged into the trailer, unplug. Guessing maybe brake interlock related?

Clarify "won't shift into gear". Having zero details, I'm wondering which of the blown tires has a locked brake.

Well I had to leave the boat last evening and drove home. This morning on my way out I started the truck and went to throw it into reverse. After several attempts it FINALLY engaged into reverse after the third restart and has been fine all morning.

You've either got too much boat, or not enough truck, because for whatever reason it didn't like towing the damn thing.

Not enough truck. They should have bought an F-350 if they wanted to tow something that big.

2018+ is up to 13,200
2017 and below was up to 11,700

Either way, towing nearly the maximum rating of your truck is not a good idea. I'd say ideally, never go more than 66% of the maximum rating

Question for the OP. Are you seeking assistance or simply sharing your experience with this issue?

Sorry about your troubles.

But like they say, if it has ****, wheels, or a propeller, it is going to give you trouble.

You hit two out of three.

Not sure why anyone is giving him crap for towing a 11k boat when the truck is rated at 13200...if its 18+ of course.
Cant tell from the picture but if that's the case he still has plenty of wiggle room. That's the point of a max tow. It's 13200 but dont you dare tow close to that, makes NO sense.
