Default Tow mirrors and wind whistling sound anyone??

I have a 2018 f150 with the tow mirrors. I noticed a whistling/chirping/cricket like sound when driving over 60km/h. I took it in to ford to have it checked out and the technician said it was the wind flowing through the tow mirrors. He checked everything else to make sure ,engine/wheels and so on , and it wasn't coming from anywhere else.
My question is, are any of you guys with the tow mirrors experiencing any of this? ?

I had some issues on my 2013 when I installed tow mirrors, but it ended up being the seal inside the door where it bolts through.

Easy enough to test if it is wind flowing through the mirrors...tape off the hole and go for a drive to see if it still whistles....if not look elsewhere.

No issues with mine (factory).
If you have power fold, you might try folding them while you drive and see if that has any effect.

I also have a 2018 Lariat with factory tow mirrors and there is no noise from either of them.

No noise from my 18 Lariat tow mirrors but I did have a whistling noise from the hood bug deflector on my 2011 FX4. Have you replaced your radio antenna with an after market one?

If it is the mirrors, sometimes just disrupting the air just a little bit can help. Glue some sorta small inconspicuous bump or rubber **** somewhere and see if that helps...

Hi, I posted elsewhere on this forum about my Right side tow mirror making wind/leak noise. My dealer chalked it up as normal. Like Ryan_2020, I taped my mirror off with masking tape and the wind leak noise was gone. My mirror gasket had a small tear in it. I patched the gasket and used a weather strip all around the mirror base and the noise is gone.

I also have this issue and brought it in under warranty. They said they reached out to Ford to see if there is a fix and waiting to hear back right now. They also noted that it was recommended to replace it....

Will be following up again this week to see what the plan of action is.

I have the powered mirrors and all I did was extend them by 1/2 inch and no more whistle.
