Default Tow Mirrors

Looking to put bigger mirrors on the truck next year. Has anyone upgraded there's. I have a STX no heat or turn signals in my current mirrors.
1. Where is a good site to buy from.
2. How hard to install, taking door panels off.

I was in the same boat as you about 2 months ago... I have an STX also and wanted to upgrade. Well good news is if you get towing mirrors with the heat and turn signal function, it'll work! The f150's are already wired for heating and turn signal function even if you dont have turn signal mirrors on your stx currently. The only thing is you have to get a button put into your dash for the heating function to actually work, but it will if you do. One of the cheapest places is AM Autoparts, i was very satisfied with them. Shipping was really fast, nothing broken, and everything works like a charm. This is the link: http://www.am-autoparts.com/Ford/F15...46/511989.html

The door panels are SUPER easy to get off, theres a video showing it on youtube called "2009 F150 XLT DOOR PANEL REMOVAL" which applies to all 2009-2014 models. All in all, the install took me 15 minutes a side tops.

Chris, when you are driving at highway speeds, do you notice any whistling or wind turbulence caused by these mirrors?

I did an extensive write up on this awhile back. I just got standard mirrors with heat, not tow.
