Default Tow Mirror regrets or no??

So I am about to order a 2021 F-150 Lariat . I have it decked out and am debating on going with the tow mirror as I do sometimes tow a trailer and I read online the stock mirrors are not the best. The thing is I don't really like the look of them.... Anyone get the mirrors and have regrets or vice versa? Is there any wind noise that come from them? Any disadvantages ?

I know it all comes down to personal choice but just wondering for any input. I searched the forum threads and couldn't find any related topics on preference. Are they worth it if not hauling on a regular?

Thanks

I don’t tow often, but every time I do I wish I had tow mirrors.

Yesterday I pulled a flatbed car hauler type trailer, it’s about 20’ long.
I cannot see this trailer at all in the rear view, and I had to adjust my side mirrors in to be able to see the fenders of the trailer, which meant I couldn’t use my mirrors to actually see the road beside me like normal.
Then I had to back in off a city street down a narrow gated alleyway between a brick building and a fence.

Tow mirrors would have been so much nicer for this maneuver.

It's much cheaper to add them from the factory than it is to add them after the fact. I ordered a set of aftermarket tow mirrors from boost auto for when I tow our camper, and I wish my truck had come with them from the beginning. If I was custom ordering I would add them. Worst case, if you hate them, there's probably going to be plenty of people adding them and looking to sell off their stock mirrors. But even in regular day to day driving the added visibility is worth it.

My truck didn’t come with them but I had them on the one before. I drove the new truck about 3 days and I ordered aftermarkets because I couldn’t stand the regular ones. Way too small, and I think the 21’s look even smaller. I say get them.

From what little I know about them, they are manually telescoping when you tow something. Just push them back to normal when not needed

Or get the cool snap-on versions for when you need them. Let's face it...the big factory tow mirrors REALLY detract from the looks of the truck. Necessary if you tow often, but fugly as hell regardless.

It's all a matter of opinion. I love how tow mirrors look, but I also have a 28' pontoon and after giving up our slip at the marina, they are a necessity.

We ordered with them because we use it as a truck and the regular mirrors are worthless towing. they are a functional item.
If you plan to just have it as a cowboy car just for looks then regular mirrors might work for you
