I bought and installed a set of OEM tow mirrors from Fairway Ford. My rep used the VIN to determine which mirrors are right for me. The new switch was included.

Some problems:
1) check engine light is on all the time-- FordPass says "Malfunction Indicator Lamp- Regulatory"
2) AC compressor takes about 5 (long) minutes to engage and start cooling; fan runs correctly the whole time.
3) external temperature display shows as two dashes now

All the mirror functions work correctly
Truck runs normally

Any ideas? Fairway Ford said no programming is needed; is that right?

Any updates? Same thing happened to me. I have a 2018 F150 XLT. Got p0073 code. Found out that there is a temperature probe in the passenger mirror. I just found this out, and plan to take the OEM sensor out the old mirror and place in new passenger side tow mirror tonight. I'll update on progress...

 

that should fix you up, we see it on the super duties when someone tries to cheap out and buy a china mirror
