Ok I am sure this has come up before. But how do you know if your truck came with max tow or just the regular tow package? And is there a difference?

 

tow package is regular or set up to max level for cab/bed size....max tow gets the 11300/11200/11000 towing rating..

screw/3.73=9500lbs
screw max tow 3.73 mine was rated 11200 but its updated now to 11100lbs..looked up the rads...measure the same size for replacement..
reg and hd....no mention of more tubes or sizing...

reg tow you pick the axle ratio..max tow is 3.73 or 4.10(11300)
also reading this, looks like for sure now the max tow has different springs...look at the rear axle load rating..

It just says "TRAILER TOW PACKAGE" on the window sticker. So is that "max tow" or something different?

 

Sounds like that is just the regular tow package and not the MAX package, or it would probably indicate you have MAX. Max package should contain a trailer brake controller inside the truck as well. You can see what it looks like and where it goes by navigating in this video
