Tough windshield
I was recently out in the oil fields of West Texas, driving 80 mph on 2-lane roads with mile after mile of tanker trucks (carrying water and fracking chemicals) going both directions at about the same speed. One of the trucks coming my direction chucked a rock, bolt or something similar in my direction, and I saw it a split second before it slammed into the windshield directly in front of me at a combined speed of something well over 100. The object didn't come through the glass, and didn't even make a star - but the deflection from impact did crack the windshield in an almost perfect circle around the point of impact. I've never seen glass damage like that before. Very glad the windshield held and prevented what I'm sure would have been a life-altering event if the object had come through.
