if i have a 06 fx4 STEPSIDE what size tool box do i need? full size or the one for the ranger. wanting to pick up the black low profile Kobalt from lowes tonight.

 

my guess the ranger one but to be safe measure it inside of you bed and from outside to outside of the tool box. id say the ranger bed isnt as deep so it will come up about 12-6 inches short to the top of the bed.

 

i want it to overlap, but i dont want the side of the box hanging over the bed rail.

 

but the f150 bed is deeper then a ranger bed so the ranger low profile tool box will be down lower then the bed not even with the bed
